Merkmale / Symptome | Mangel des Enzyms Glucose-6-phosphat-Dehydrogenase der roten Blutkörperchen (Erythrozyten). Oxidative Schädigung der Erythrozyten => persistierende hämolytische Anämie, Hyperbilirubinämie; morphologische Abnormalitäten der Erythrozyten: Exzentrozytose, Pyknozytose, Anisozytose, Makrozytose und Howell-Jolly-Körperchen |
Belastungen | Erbliche Einschränkung einer Organfunktion (rote Blutkörperchen). Schäden, die zu Funktionsausfällen führen und den Allgemeinzustand beeinträchtigen
Massgebende Kriterien für die Beurteilung der Belastungen sind insbesondere:
Zuchtstrategie und Massnahmen
Eltern
Gezielte Anpaarungen, Anpassung der Zuchtstrategie (die Eltern der betroffenen Tieren sollten in der Zucht nicht mehr eingesetzt werden) Betroffene Nachkommen
Diagnose (Labor: G6PD-Aktivität der Erythrozyten), Differentialdiagnose (Vergiftungen, z.B. Vicia Faba Spp); betroffene Tiere sollen in der Zucht nicht eingesetzt werden; schlimmstenfalls Euthanasie. |
